Railway Recruitment Board has made changes in the recruitment examination of Railways. As per the new notification issued by RRB, now candidates appearing for railway recruitment exam are required to keep an Aadhaar Card. Candidates who don't have their Aadhaar Card can not apply for any railway recruitment program. RRB will make Aadhaar Card mandatory for all candidates with new recruitment advertisement. However, this decision is not implemented in on-going recruitment programs.
Now Aadhaar Card Will Be Mandatory To Apply For Railway Recruitment Exams
Railway recruits thousands of candidates every year for various posts like Assistant Station Master, Loco Pilot, Assistant Loco Pilot, Goods Guard, Section Engineer, senior clerk, ticket collector and various other posts of technology and safety. Lakhs of candidates apply for these vacancies. Now, candidates applying for these posts are necessary to have Aadhaar Card, if any aspirant doesn't have Aadhaar Card will not be able to apply for railway vacancies from now onwards.
Aadhaar Card in not required on current ongoing recruitment
At present, RRB is conducting a recruitment program for 18,252 vacant posts. The board has declared the result of the first phase of this recruitment exam and now it will host the second phase of the same on 17th January 2017. Aadhaar Card will not be required for the candidates who are going to appear for its Mains exam or for its interview session.
Fake candidates couldn't take exam
Many fake candidates give recruitment exams in place of the original candidate, so to stop such activities the board has made Aadhaar Card compulsory for the candidate to apply for railway recruitment exam. According to this new rule, candidate's thumbprint will be matched at the exam centre with the help of biometric system.
